I just want to thank you so much for the best vacation/hunt we have ever had. If the guys didn’t thank me 10 times a day for setting this one up they didn’t at all. Everything was perfect, accommodations, location, personnel and of course your personality and presence. We will surely return!" Say hi to Steve, Al and Cheeks for us.

When I'm sitting in the lodge, I feel like I'm in the middle of a Terry Redlin painting. It's the perfect place if you're looking for an authentic South Dakota hunt.

When I come back I forget just how beautiful this place is… Steve and Christine are doing it right…

If I were to find out that I was going to die tomorrow, this is where I'd want to make my last stand.

During the last two pheasant seasons I have had the opportunity to hunt at the Rieger Creek Lodge at Selby, SD. The hunting was outstanding, providing quality pheasant hunting, all wild birds, a capable guiding staff & at the end of the day you can relax in the very well appointed lodge on the property. Pheasant hunting the way it was meant to be enjoyed.

I believe that's the most pheasants I've seen in my life, and I've been hunting pheasants for 40 years.

The hunting, the guides, and everything about the lodge is top shelf, and Steve and Christine are wonderful people. I've thoroughly enjoyed my last two years, and am already looking forward next year.

Having started a move east just over 20 years ago, I haven't gotten back to South Dakota nearly as much as I would like. I recently had the pleasure of spending some time at Rieger Creek Lodge and it reminded me of all the reasons I miss the place of my youth. Whether it be the calm evenings looking out on the creek with the sun setting while dining, or the crisp mornings watching deer and listening to pheasants cackle and ducks splashing around in the creek, the natural surrounding put on a show. The lodge couldn't be more comfortable with plenty of space and just a great setting. Steve and Christine provided everything needed for a very enjoyable stay. Not only is the staff very knowledgeable and helpful, but even more important are all the quality people. Nothing could be better!

This place is exactly what we were looking for.

I never thought I'd see this many pheasants in my lifetime.

I have been hunting pheasants for 15 years in many different locations in Iowa and the Dakotas. My experience at Rieger Creek Lodge surpasses all of them. The accommodations over look Rieger Creek and is truly five star. The owners, Steve and Christine, are delightful hosts and go above and beyond all expectations to ensure hunters have a memorable experience. Big praises go to guides Al and Justin, and their dogs, Fawn, Fancy, and Rocky. My group spent five days hunting and never worked the same area twice, 20,000 acres gives the hunter many options.  I am returning again next year and probably many more to come.
